Scheckerl, Kipfler, Feuerflecken – appreciate old varieties again

Old varieties of fruit and vegetables with their variety of shapes, colors and cooking properties are increasingly inspiring amateur and professional chefs. And our biodiversity ambassador Jakob Loidolt from Lower Austria is also convinced that traditional varieties of fruit and vegetables are the better choice in many ways and should not be forgotten. And so Jakob and his family have set themselves the goal of reviving the variety of varieties on their arable farm. Scheckerl, Naglerner Kipfler or Feuerflecken - just three of the over 300 potato varieties that are grown on the Loidolt organic farm.

Take the opportunity to have a chat with our biodiversity ambassador Jakob Loidolt in a relaxed atmosphere at our online kitchen table talk on February 20th at 8 p.m. You can find more information about the kitchen table talk and how to register here.
