At her organic vegetable farm in the small village of Karl in Central Burgenland, Silvia Fruhmann demonstrated—during a joint "Farming for Nature" farm walk—how diverse vegetable cultivation and on-farm biodiversity successfully work hand in hand. Participants discovered a great deal: an extraordinary variety of vegetables, colorful flowering areas, and a rich array of insects—but above all, plenty of ideas on how to create valuable natural habitats and link them together.
