More than 40 farmers from across Austria were nominated and our expert jury selected the five 2026 Biodiversity Ambassadors from among them. The ambassadors open the doors to their farms and show us how they give space for nature on their properties.

From a total of 23 farmers nominated across Austria, the five ambassadors for biodiversity 2025 were chosen. Their farms are as diverse as their approaches to promoting biodiversity.

After a short break in 2023, the time has finally come again: the circle of our Ambassadors for Biodiversity will be enriched by five more people. Our expert jury has selected the five Ambassadors for Biodiversity 2024 from a total of 25 farmers nominated throughout Austria.

At the beginning of June 2022, an expert jury selected the five ambassadors for biodiversity from a total of 22 nominated farms after extensive consultations and personal farm visits.

At the end of September 2021, a jury out of five members selected the five 2021 Biodiversity Ambassadors from the 24 nominated farms based on two joint online meetings and personal farm visits.
