Armin Rauch

Vorarlberg

Together with his family, Armin Rauch runs an extensive organic mountain farm at 900 metres above sea level. The farm specialises in cattle breeding, vegetable cultivation with many special varieties and young plant breeding.

Commitment to biodiversity:

The farm used to be a typical dairy farm until Armin Rauch decided to change everything and switch to vegetable production in the spirit of permaculture and cattle farming. In recent years, he has managed to cultivate over 180 varieties of fruit and vegetables despite the altitude. The wide range of home-grown specialities is sold in the farm shop. However, the Rauch family's farm is not only characterised by diversity in fruit and vegetables: 3 hectares of steep, single-meadow meadows, numerous thorn bushes, deadwood hedges and 3 ponds provide an important habitat for numerous animals and plants. With his species-rich meadows, Armin has already taken part in the meadow championships and was crowned meadow champion, passing on his extensive expertise in various courses and workshops and his valuable gardening tips have even caught the attention of television.
