Gerhard Moser
Creating a habitat where animals and plants have enough time to develop is a matter of course on Gerhard Moser's farm, a 26-hectare dairy farm in the diverse Innviertel region. The promotion of diversity has always been a matter close to Gerhard's heart: is it through the maintenance of extensive, herb-rich meadows, the remaining of rootstocks or deadwood trunks or through the creation of a sand bed or dry grassland, numerous animals and especially insects find enough space everywhere. Gerhard also likes to make his areas available for wild bee projects and exchanges ideas with experts. A few years ago, he fulfilled a particularly big wish: the creation of a pond so that the water habitat is no longer neglected. In addition to rare plant species, amphibians, reptiles, bats and various bird species such as whinchats, quails, red kites, meadow pipits and corncrakes feel at home on Gerhard's farm. As a co-initiator of the regional nature conservation plan, he is well networked and is actively involved in nature conservation issues.
